A Frame Elopement in Ontario

I had the pleasure of documenting Morgan and Jenny’s A Frame Elopement in Ontario. When they first reached out they were not entierly sure where they wanted to elope but they knew that they wanted to be in a space that had breathtaking views that was pet friendly and be able to have an incredible day together and end with good food and drinks. This was the perfect place to start for planning their elopement

The Couple and Their Decision to Have an A Frame Elopement in Ontario

Knowing that Morgan and Jenny wanted to have an imtimate wedding in a beautiful location somewhere in Ontario that they could bring their cattle dog, Scout, along with them was the perfect place for us to start. When we got on the phone we began to explore some options of the where and what season they wanted to get married in we quickly landed on Fall. Fall in Ontario is an absolutely beautiful season with comfortable temperatures ranging from 10-20 degrees Celcius throughout the day making it not too cold and not too hot to spend the day outside.

Quickly after they landed on choosing Rose Eh Chalet just outside of Bancroft in the Algonquin Highlands. Rose Eh Chalet sits on top of a hill that overlooks Carfrae Lake and is surrounded by hundreds of maple trees that turn different colours in the fall season which would make their A Frame Elopement in Ontario a scene out of a movie for their wedding day.

Jenny and Morgan’s A Frame Elopement in Ontario

Their day was filled with so much intention and things that truly embodied who Morgan and Jenny are as a couple. Surrounding themselves in a quiet place in nature, enjoying the fall colours at a cabin on the lake with their favourite drinks in hand really symbolized them as a couple and many of the adventures they have had together.

They started their morning off each writing their own personalized vows and then getting ready separately in the A Frame. Once they were both dressed they had their first look that also had a surprise from Morgan. Morgan had hired PJ & Oli, are an acoustic duet to sing some of their favourite songs during their first look, ceremony and first dance.

After their first look the day flowed right into their ceremony in front of Rose Eh Chalet’s fireplace. We initially had planned to have the ceremony outside on the dock, but shortly before the ceremony began it was torrential rain so we opted to do it inside and it was just as beautiful there! Right after the ceremony PJ & Oli played one of their favourite songs for Jenny and Morgan’s first dance. Just as their first dance finished the rain stopped and the sun came back out.

We went outside and spent some time on the dock and exploring the surrounding area at the A Frame Cabin taking in the fall colours, playing fetch with Scout and enjoying their favourite beers. From there we jumped in the car and headed to Bancroft Brewing a local brewery, but as we headed down the cottage road Morgan realized the car was almost out of gas. So we stopped to get gas and had to take some funny photos of the girls filling up their car in their wedding attire. Jenny and Morgan enjoyed a pint of beer at Bancroft Brewing and then we headed back to the cottage for sunset, a bonfire on the dock and a bit more dancing under the string lights. We said our goodbyes and they sat down to enjoy a meal together. A perfect ending to a beautiful elopement day!
