Almost year prior to this incredible surprise beach proposal Jenn asked Jess to marry her after a hike up one the Cheif in Squamish, near their home in British Columbia – which you can check out the incredible proposal here! Shortly after this romantic proposal Jess started to plan a proposal equally as special for Jenn. She knew she wanted to propose back to the love of her life and wanted to do it while they were back in Ontario visiting with Jenn’s family. Jess worked for months to pull together this beautiful beach proposal which included taking Jenn to have favourite spot, Pinery Provincial Park.

Putting together an incredible surprise proposal like this takes hours of endless love and dedication and Jess put her entire heart and soul into this beautiful day. Jess, being an editor worked tirelessly to put together a book of their love story. It would share stories of their life together from the moment they met, their first proposal in Squamish and the final chapter of this book would end with them on the beach at Pinery Provincial Park in Southwestern Ontario for their second and equally as incredible proposal.

Jess and I spent hours on the phone and email each other to make sure we had all the little details organized for this summer beach proposal and I could have not been more excited for it! After so months of planning the day finally came, it was a beautiful hot, sunny summer day in August and Jess, myself and my fiance, Chris, met on the beach to start setting up and getting ready for Jenn to arrive. Jess had set up a plan for Jenn to be picked up by a friend and would go on a series of stops to visit with friends she hadn’t seen in a while, visit her favourite places around her childhood town and then finally would be brought to the beach for the best surprise of all.

After what felt like an eternity of so much excitement for everyone we watched a red convertible pull up to the beach boardwalk where Jenn’s family awaited her at the top and Jess just waiting at the bottom of the stairs ready to ask her to be her wife. It truly was the perfect beach proposal and an incredible moving, emotional event. There was not a dry eye in the house from all the friends and family that had gathered to watch and especially for both Jess and Jenn.

After the proposal Jess had one final surprise for Jenn – all of their friends had gathered in a pavilion a quick 5 minute walk away from the beach to surprise Jenn and what a surprise it was! It truly was the perfect way to end this beautiful proposal in Pinery Provincial Park and an incredible way to start the next chapter of their lives together. We are so insanely happy to have been able to be apart of this incredible moment for these incredible women. Their love for each other is undeniable and infectious it is so obvious to anyone around them. What do you get when you mix a fun couple, a boat and an impending storm?! One heck of a good engagement session, thats what! Lisa and her fiance Nate were referred to me by one of my lovely 2018 brides and they invited me up to their family cottage in Long Point for their engagement photos. I am all for an adventure, especially when a place holds so much meaning to a couple.
