Cannon Beach has been on a place I have been dying to visit for years now and I was so excited to finally be able to visit this beautiful area! Sitting just south to Ecola State Park along the coast of the Pacific Ocean Cannon Beach is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike to visit in Oregon. With is dominating feature, Haystack Rock sits in the water and is accessible as the tide slowly goes out. I was so excited when I was able to meet up with Andre and Daniel to document their Cannon Beach Engagement just after sunrise on a sunny March morning.
It was the perfect morning with the sun out warming up what started off as a chilly morning. Andre and Daniel met me on the beach with coffee from a local coffee shop in hand and we began to walk the beach, explore and get to know each other! Something that is really important for me is to get a chance to get to know my couples before we begin taking photos. This not only helps everyone get to know each other, but allows for everyone to also get comfortable with one another. My goal is to document genuine moments between my couples and that can only be done once we have created a sense of trust!
Once Andre and Daniel had finished their coffee we began to take photos. It truly was so much fun being able to document them in their home state at one of the favourite beaches for their Cannon Beach engagement session. We got the chance to explore Haystack Rock as the tide slowly went out, pet so many dogs running along the beach (which is pet friendly!), laughed and enjoyed this amazing morning together.
