If you've been following me for a while now you know that I am obsessed with Georgian Bay. It is a place we call our second home where our cottage is, a place that you could truly explore for years and never discover all the hidden gems it has to offer and is a place I love to share with my couples especially for an incredible Georgian Bay engagement adventure session.
There are so many incredible places to take couples around Georgian Bay, but when you get the opportunity to head out on the boat and really explore some of the little bays and remote islands this is when you get to experience the real Georgian Bay. I had Jess & Tim meet me at our cottage in Midland so we could get them all cozy in the boat and then we headed off for a beautiful boat ride as the sun began to set on the bay. After about a 45 minute ride of exploring the channels and sharing some of our favourite little spots we finally arrived in one of my favourite bays that is more often than not calm and gets one of the most beautiful sunsets. The only trick part is this area is very rocky and we can never quite get the boat close enough to the rocks so we blow up a little innertube boat so we can all safely get onto the rocks without anyone getting wet! After everyone was safely on shore we spent the next two hours exploring one of my favourite spots, splashing in the water and watching the sunset from high up on the Canadian Shield. It truly was of those perfect end of summer nights where the air stays warm, the sun sets slowly and everything just feels right. We ended the night with having a bonfire and beers before we hopped back in the boat and headed back towards the cottage to end this Georgian Bay engagement adventure session.
