Looking for a way to have a quiet elopement with minimal to no crowds around? Then having a Ontario sunrise hiking elopement is likely the perfect option for you! Hiking before sunrise to get a beautiful view and those cotton candy coloured skies especially at a more popular location is one of the better ways to guarantee less people around. With how popular so many of the incredible hiking options in Ontario are becoming it is getting harder and harder to have the lookout or viewpoints to yourself, but doing a sunrise hiking elopement is one of the best chances for you to be able to have a private moment with your favourite person while you say I do.
When Chris and Nicole reached out to me I instantly felt a connection to them because how often do you meet a couple that has the same names as you and your partner! We laughed so hard at that and instantly began planning their Ontario Sunrise Hiking Elopement! We choose Algonquin Provincial Park due to their love of back country camping in Algonquin and all of the incredible memories they had made in this Ontario park.
After quite some time planning their sunrise hiking elopement the day finally came for Chris and Nicole to elope in Algonquin Provincial Park. I met up with them an hour and a half prior to sunrise and we began to hike to the lookout they had chosen. Along the way a viewpoint opened up in front of us to a lake where we were greeted with the most beautiful cotton candy coloured skies and fog rising up off the lake. We stopped to soak in the view and then continued on to to the lookout where we know we would be greeted with even prettier colours and more fog.
Chris and Nicole did their first look just as the sun began to rise and then we moved right into their heartfelt ceremony. After having them say I do and officially become husband and wife Chris pulled out a record player that he had carried up with them to dance to their first dance on vinyl. This is such a beautiful touch that really represents them as a couple and something I cannot encourage more couples to do is sprinkle their day with things that really make you who you are.
After their first dance we took some time to sit down, relax and have some breakfast and then continued to explore the rest of the trail as we began to head down back towards the parking lot. Although we were done the hike we had one more adventure to do! Chris and Nicole had brought their canoe with them as canoing is something that is special to them in their relationship and something they love to do whenever they are near water. So we launched their canoe into one of the many lakes in Algonquin Provincial Park and they paddled around soaking in the late morning sun that danced across the lake. After we were done canoing for their Algonquin elopement we packed up the canoe and said our goodbyes on this incredible Ontario sunrise hiking elopement.
